Mental Handicapping
The oil painting portrays a dwarf holding cards in his hands. He is shown with abnormal facial expressions, his head slightly tilted and his right leg stuck out, in a pose meant to imply his physical or psychological disability.
The Belgium National Association for Aid to the Mentally Handicapped commemorated the painting on a famous stamp issue for the sake of public awareness and support for the mentally disabled worldwide.
